Hazmat ELDT

Adding a hazmat endorsement on your license for Class A or B you need to take an ELDT course. It is a theory class that is a prerequisite to be able to add the endorsement at the DMV.

Apart from the class the other requirement is to pass a background check.

Once you have completed the two prerequisites the DMV can administer the written exam to add the endorsement to your license.
